Elected secretary of PMEA District 4

Dr. Phillip S. Wyant was elected secretary of District 4 of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, continuing his service to music educators and students across the region.

Ten Clearfield students were selected for the 2026 PMEA District 4 Band, held at East Juniata High School.

Doctor of Musical Arts completed

Wyant completed the Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education at Boston University. His dissertation, Elementary Band Directors’ Occupational Identity: An Exploratory Study, examines how K–12 band directors understand their professional identities and introduces the concept of Podium Identity.

Clearfield hosts the 2025 Clearfield County Band

Wyant hosted the Clearfield County Band at Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. Dr. Jason Worzbyt led the junior high ensemble, and Mr. Caleb Rebarchak led the senior high ensemble. Fifty Clearfield students participated in the two-day festival.
